Installing a new Tana template

This tutorial is based on the assumption that you are logged into your Tana account.

If you have a process you normally use for working on sandbox workspaces, please follow that. This is a tutorial showing you how to install a Tana template in a new workspace.

1. Set up a new workspace

1.1 Scroll down to the Workspaces area in the left-hand sidebar of Tana. (If the sidebar is minimised, you will need expand it.) Then click on the ‘Manage Workspaces’ link.

1.2 Click on the ‘Create workspace’ link

1.3 A ‘Create a new workspace’ window will open. Fill in the name you’ve chosen for the Workspace and then click on the ‘Create workspace’ button.

1.4 This will then create a new workspace.

2. Install the template in your new workspace

2.1 Go to the email you will have received after you clicked on the link in the Kit Confirmation email. This is its subject line.

2.2 Then click on the ‘Access the Argument Analyst Tana template’ button you will find towards the top of the email.

2.3 You will then see the following screen. Click on the ‘Open in Tana’ button.

2.4 Next you will get a choice of how you want to open links to Tana? I’m going to choose the Browser option but choosing the Desktop app option is fine too.

2.5 The following window will then open.

2.6 You first need to click on the dropdown arrow to open the list of your workspaces. You then need to click on the workspace you’ve created for the Argument Analyst template.

2.7 After a short wait, the template will be installed in your chosen workspace and you’ll be able to start working on it.
